Teacher Lingo
http://teacherlingo.com/blogs/default.aspx?GroupID=14 This website is a great place for teachers to talk and share suggestions about different situations that they encounter at their schools. There are many different categories to blog in (i.e. elementary, college, ESL/ELL, middle school, high school, parent, PTA, etc.) which is a great resource for many teachers and parents. I read a blog under High School Teacher and it was about having a student who is a “cling-on” another was about a teacher who was becoming discouraged about his/her job. Someone responded to the comment reinforcing the idea that teaching has its rewards and that sometimes you cannot have an affect on every student, but there is no reason to lose faith in teaching. This is a great place for teachers to vent about work situations and for parents to talk about children’s behaviors in school.
