Poisson RougeThis is a featured page

Poisson Rouge is an excellent game site for even very small children. There is almost nothing in the way of words a child has to read in order to interact with the web site, and the site is not linear. Rather, children are free to explore and discover and experiment. The homepage is a room with objects: blocks, lunchbox, telescope, dolls, etc. If a child clicks on any of the objects he/she is taken to an interactive page. There are puzzles, abc memory games, even xylophone and rythym instruments. A little "help" from a parent or a teacher will enhance the learning experience. For example: one of the elements is a circle with dots--it looks similar to a record player. As the circle spins, it plays the dots as they arranged. The child can move the dots to anywhere on the circle and create a totally different rhythm or sound. The child may not know instictively that he/she can move the dots, so a little suggestion from an adult, to move the dots and see what happens, would help the child realize that they can experiment with the objects in the site. Even I love this site! http://www.poissonrouge.com/
