Edtech Magazines Case Studies:
http://www.edtechmag.com/k12/case-study.htmlThis page contains case studies covered in the current issue of Edtech Magazine as well as a collection of case studies from archived issues. Edtech is an online magazine focusing on the use of technology in K-12. Case studies include district related uses of technology in regards to security issues, as well as technologies used in the classroom. Titles of some of the studies include:
Charity Begins with a Notebook and
The Power of One. This is not a site designed to be used by students, but by teachers and administrators. This is true of the two sites I've listed below as well.
Distance Education Clearinghouse sponsored by University of Wisconsin. This site contains links to sites that contain various case studies related to distance education. While most of these sites are related to higher education, there are a couple for K-12.
http://www.uwex.edu/disted/cases.cfmThis site:
http://neirtec.terc.edu/k12vc/practices/search.cfm is one of the sites linked off the page listed above. It is a searchable library of cases related to the use of video conferencing in K-12. You can search by state (there are currently 9 states with case studies), by population, by use, and by key word/phrase. While the case studies are interesting the search tool is not accurate. For example: when I select to search by population, I chose K-4. The case studies included studies in high schools and middle schools.
